The world has got you down, ol' pal; Cruel fate has had its laugh. Circumstances have been unkind. You've felt misfortune's wrath. You're a little less than nothing; And the harder that you try... The further back you seem to fall; All others pass you by. Among your kinsmen, you're a stranger. Within a crowd, you stand alone. Dreams, go and come, but the greatest one... Is if a place called...Home. They say that...Home, is where the heart is. So, its your heart that you must find. Once you've finally found it... Home, won't be far behind. You see, the two, they dwell together. And they never ever part. I will tell you where my heart is... Perhaps, a place that you should start. There is a place...among the trees... The place where my heart lies. Far from hypocritical minds; Lying lips and judging eyes. A shelter for the outcast. Safe harbour 'mid the storm. Her bosom will feed and keep you. Her arms will make you warm. She won't tolerate your Ego. Don't try to exercise your will. For as easily as she gives you life... She can just as easily, Kill. Let her be herself and learn her ways; Don't try to be the boss. She's the downtrodden's sanctuary. She's rescue to the lost. Now, circumstances have entrapped me; Within this world of "Man" ; But, I have a dream...to someday return... To my home and heart again. So, If it's heart and home you're seeking... Then, my wisest words are these... Break the yoke and lift the burden... And hide among the trees ! |
