Young boy why do you wish to end it today? please dont i want to see you tomrrow as a young man, people love you even when you feel alone young man why do you wish to end it today? you are so handsome so talented why throw it away? you have a young lover searching to find you she will never know you if you end it now Middle age man why do you wish to end it today? You have a wife and child waiting at home what will she tell her son when you are gone? is this what you want to be remembered for? Old man why do you wish to end it today? you have been here with me all these years i cannot not bear to live without you now stay a little while longer wait for me honey few months go by I lay my old frame next to his i grab his hand We close our eyes we wispher our last lullably I say my last prayer to the night He waited for me through his sorrow and pain he waited Though he was older and more frail he kept holding on Together we left this world To a place you feel no pain, no heartache But peace Our work is finished I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health |
