Letting Go As birds are given wings to fly and soar As high as needed to survive, So sons are given heart and nerve To answer callings, so they may thrive. jo perryFeb. 2006 |

I have a feeling that someone has just left the nest. I know the pride and the sorrow of that. Love, Joyce |

Ah, there is a mom with understanding. Bless you. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |

Martie,Larry and Joyce, Thanks for reading and the comments. Wrote this to a younger friend who has just had the experience of a son leaving home. Mine have been making homes and families of their own for years now. martyjo |

MartyJo, you phrased this so well and wisely. I know it's the truth -- just hard to do, yano? .....jo |

Jo, Our three young men left home to make their own way before they were nineteen. They have all done fine. Not without mistakes along the way, but all okay now. What is instilled in them while growing up remains. Even if it does not show while young, it comes to fore as needed and it serves them well. Best to you and yours, and thank you for replying, martyjo |
