Early morning rain
Sun and clouds both come and go
The dove plays her flute

        *

Resting on a leaf
Upon the flowing water
The ant journeys on

        *

A rock in the sun
The blue lizard finds stillness
What more is needed?

        *

The candle is lit
The flame of the match, blown out
The match flame still burns

        *

Summer thunderstorm
Heavy head, lowered in grief
A Sad Sunflower

        *

The roses attract
The thorns protect and repel
Such is Love and Fear

        *

Sacrificing SELF
Butterfly of the Darkness
The moth and the flame

        *

Where the snowflake lands
Is not known by the snowflake
It rest on the wind

        *

The grave of a friend
Covered in brambles and thorns
Perched there, a bird sings

        *

A Summer meadow
Echoes with children's laughter
Dandelions dance

thanking you, for my newest library treasure
I love the haiku and senryu form.
Do you also write tankas?
