Performance, Magnifico

Gently in sway
to and fro she bends,
blending to tunes she hears
carried on the wind,

her tips gracefully touch
the earth while she listens
to the voices of ancient friends

as they drift, upon yon breeze~

only she can hear them.

She gathers them in
and within the center
of her folds
a secreted dance
now passed

from young to old

and I entranced
swear that she embraces
the spirit of me

as I watch her perform
the majestic ballet
in brilliant performance,
magnifico
