 Artist: Sangita Miller's Pond ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ Upon a rock in Miller’s Pond, There sat a small green frog. He felt so lost and lonely, Since he was a polliwog. A butterfly came flitting by, And landed on his nose. He croaked a little greeting, And proffered her a rose. The delicate little beauty, Was startled and flew away. She broke the little froggy’s heart, And his tears fell in dismay. A dragonfly came whizzing by, And asked why he was crying. The frog replied, that he was sad, As he turned away, sighing. "Oh no, dear frog, please dry your tears, For I will be your friend. I’ll buzz by, whenever you want, And soon your heart will mend." The grateful frog and dragonfly, Formed a friendship bond. I love this, absolutely love it! Mind you, I've been humming "froggie went courting and he did ride, uh-hunh" since the first few lines and that tune will probably haunt me all day.
