Out on her first date since
God knows when....
Nervously she holds her head up high
taking a deep breath as she tries
to clear her mind of any past feelings
not forgotten.
As she reaches for the door
and clears the bangs from her eyes
she finds her reflection in the glass
A reminder fo how far she has come
and has accomplished.
Her look still has that sincere and confident
and yet honest
Something that she hasn't seen in a while.
Her heart deserves some than she could ever imagine
Knowing what she wants
She is able to weed out the bad ones and hold on to the good ones.
She walks with long strides that no one could break down and a smile that lights up a room.
He smiles and greets her
A new life has begun....

Thank you so much for the compliments.

My mom and I were at this resturant one evening and we were sitting outside people watching. This girl came in and did exactly what I had written. But, too, I am going on my first date this weekend.
