Saved from the touch of cold stones, your words trickled me warm. ~Life is a heart beat~ Upon the wet leaves of summer’s memory banks, I sit and remember, how I once willfully threw the hours away faster than they flew past me, a handful of stones thrown away in a day. For in a full glass of hindsight I can easily see, I skipped over too many of the more delicately embossed moss moments, over looked too many bursting nanoseconds of brilliant light which normally only pass by the eye once. But in some seemingly common handfuls of earth's treasures, I’ve found reasons to move forward carefully; for there are fragile native living things that sit silently, hugging the ground...hopeful. I turn around, vow to sharpen both eyes and mind... and find myself far from the touch of cold stones. Your words trickle me warm. |
