have a nice weekend thank you, and good night it follows the silent roll call 15 tonight and after this announcement you are free to do whatever, for the night is as young as those soldiers faces, the ones I just did see on TV and I curse all the powers that be, the powers that be represent insanity, not me and how many mothers must cry tonight, wringing their hands and hearts in agony? thank you, and good night |

dont want to hear the cries of mothers or the cries of babies anymore the pain the cries the unjustice god please make everything right erase the memories of the pain that was wrong never again to be in sight so love and forgiveness can fill hearts and give birth to life as life was meant to be My spirit will rise |

" Now, if these men do not die well, it will be a black matter for the king that led them to it. (King Henry V, act IV, scene I, William Shakespeare) Grrrrrrrr Did these sons die well for their king? Did they do him proud by their deaths? Are there gold stars in their home windows tonight That somehow might brighten this black matter? But... "*Do not weep, maiden, for war is kind" and... "*Mother whose heart hung humble as a button On the bright splendid shroud of your son, Do not weep. War is kind." Kacy, what you are feeling , I also feel...and so it seems do, and have others...others pressed by need to write their feelings down.. all sadly aware, They then, we now, of our seeming powerlessness (is that a word?) But I am glad you wrote this, and am glad I read it... Perhaps that is the key, to write feelings down, about situations That seem out of personal control....perhaps the reception of alike thoughts empowers the reader? I have a big mouth, I blame that on poetry, it makes me think and talk a lot....sorry ---------------ice/ford ><> (*Stephen Crane -excerpt- Do not weep, maiden, for war is kind) |

I love your big poetic mouthy replies, Ford ![]() It seems that every generation is doomed to repeat these war whines. Only the names change. |
