Grey sky in descent; a force heaven sent to stretch the outreach of grief and widen the gap between the lines of love’s most ardent desire but no one signs better the song of denial than he who has been a lover in love and touched the mystical blue of review. Thunder alive yet so long asleep disempowered because of unawareness rumbles this night in the wilderness of dreams turned into nightmares … and I hear the tone deep in my soul. Of lightening it hides somewhere on the side not strong enough yet to streak and cramped is the style of one who would fly but the sky remains grey and rules tonight with the hand of an evil dictator. The element, time, eternally mine in spirals twists forward and on and there in the slipstream a truant mind with the groping hands of the blind ferrets amidst life’s meager rewards for tidbits and scraps of compassion to banish all grey from the sky. Grey sky in descent; does heaven portend what is past or still yet to come? Helen / 31 July 2005 |

Helen "Thunder alive yet so long asleep disempowered because of unawareness rumbles this night in the wilderness of dreams turned into nightmares … and I hear the tone deep in my soul." At midnight last, I heard thunder just like this, with no lightning. It was strange, like fireworks, but not. As for your question, I think each person builds their own answers from within. The heavens only applaud or growl. |
