Using The Mind Over Matter There are visits from the users They will come along to chew Ignorant of your own needs Leaving you melancholy blue You have calls from the takers Those self centered with greed Thinking only of themselves Its never what you might need Some tug at those heartstrings Often for their own selfish gain They start speaking of love Yet leave heartaches and pain Not forgetting the game players Usually its the no win situation Sqeezing out every emotion Used for their own gratification Its best to use mind over matter With all those mentioned above Those that think only of ego They will never know of true love Hope ©2003 With graphic and music below http://www.thestarlitecafe.com/poems/92/poem_761508.html |

Hiya and Good Morning to you  This was well done, and very sad, and I'm so sorry there are people as such who are so mean and cruel...but on the upside, and something I've learned, "we" get to choose our friends...so, discern and listen to that very intelligent little voice inside... Hugs to you Hope and thank you for sharing this all to wise and true darker side of society.... |

LeeJ is right. Free will allows us choice and that goes for whom you allow into your life. I have found that when I am a blessing to others, I am blessed. It is so sad that the people (or person) you describe here doesn't get it. You get what you give in this life. This is not some clever play on words. The takers who never give will never receive the blessings meant for them. A touching write and a gentle reminder to me to always be a blessing to others. Patricia |
