Three quick taps upon his door
Tells him that she’s back for more
Lustful feelings hidden deep
Secrets that she couldn’t keep

This affair she cannot hide
Leaves her feeling weak inside
Flush of face, pounding heart
Thinking of their time apart

Standing on the other side
Regretful of this lusting ride
He keeps his silence as she waits
Hoping he can change their fates

This can’t go on, this love affair
Leading them to who knows where
Down an unfamiliar path
To a pit of lovers past

Three more knocks, she calls his name
Realizing it’s all in vain
She turns around to walk away
A single teardrop goes astray

A salty taste upon her lips
Grabs her heart and fiercely rips
A lover’s plight once more revealed
Another heart will never heal.

Sea said it best, it was heart tugging alright, and always is when you are caught up in deceit.  Someone always gets hurt when they take a bite of the "apple."   Well done Mike.

Love is so beautiful, but it can leave scars when its mistreated.  Here's one of my smileys (=p).  God bless.

I don't get it.  I really don't.  How a man can have an adulterous affair, and be okay in his brain.  But what I really don't understand is the woman who can be a part of an affair, and be okay with it, too.  There's always another story, another side.  But from where I sit, I just can't understand it.

i understand this write
it is a good one too ,people need to open there minds up and not be so closed .
nice work , people are born free in this world and don't let anyone ever tell you different , no matter who it is , we all have the right to do what are hearts desire and not what someones religion or the way they were raised pressure or change your true feelings , when you repress it only does harm later on , so i say let them play , merry christmas all
