Like water from a well and I am powerless when compassion rises up from the depths of love … and sometimes when I cry you are still smiling in the turn, turn, turn around, from what the spirit knows. And the effort of it all leaves a body humbled more for the outreach of soul holds dominion over all and forces unconcernedly unasked for overflows of what the spirit knows. Not thirsty yet I drink but I don’t pull the rope or lift the bucket happily from that never empty well because, you see, I don’t know what the spirit knows! Helen / 4 July 2005 |

Thanks Dixie and James! I guess it's most times to our advantage not to know. |
