Velvet words that cut like glass, Words of stone that soft caress, Blanketing words that soothe the soul, Words of sadness that take their toll; These are the words which poets use, Haunting, dreamy painted hues, Which express the tones of the heart, And set them above other words, apart. Poets heed the muse's call, Come together one and all, Bring life to words of thought and deed And fill our ever longing need. simply an actor, who plays and frets upon a stage. |
