At first blush, it might seem her beauty is so pure That never could mere mortals hope to experience her desire, With skin so smooth and lips so full, as to lure Any man into a bottomless well of her sultry fire, Those who gaze into her eyes, say they see a clear blue sky And that her hair shines golden as a midnight August moon, But skies aren’t blue, nor Luna gold, and pigs don’t fly, And while it might be a man might swoon, He soon would learn that if he were by a siren kissed, That Shangri la does only in the mind exist.. |
