The Word

I always await the word
wondering why it is so.
Why it can't come easily
knowing it's there in the keeping.

I use to be able to let it rise
with ease and now it's stuck somewhere,
in limbo, afraid to come out of hiding,
afraid its meaning isn't anymore.

It is sort of a numbness,
but with a slight tingling,
wanting to edge out and develop
into what could and should be.

There shouldn't be the pain
that throbs and kisses the body
with doubt leaving the art
of loving behind.

I await that word to come forward too, Maureen. I enjoyed the imagery you displayed about this matter. Thanks for sharing.

Good morning to you too, Maureen,

It sure is cold enough. However, at this time, I still don't miss the weather in Fla.
