The Bypass The carefully studied city scrolls past her fading sight. She places her cold, thin-skinned hand gently upon the passenger window. Realizing she will never touch the beauty of that which lies beyond, she closes her eyes and takes her final breath. jm |

OH this is amazing, nice strong write. I love this. It made me see her in a charcoal drawing. How odd. |

Thank you, Littlewing. Yesterday, as we were driving home, I placed my hand against the window, with my fingers spread apart, as if "longing" to be on the outside. Although it wasn't a bustling city outside, I imagined someone else making the same gesture. Hardly odd at all, my friend. I'm glad you liked it. jm |
