The Dance of Marriage

We start our marriage a tango
That oft becomes a fandango
This dance upon a hot tin roof
With bare feet that are not flameproof

Our phantoms are not friction less
Their rubbings often make a mess
And spirits tango different rates
To unitize their different fates

We may be seeking different goals
In different seasons, different souls
Passing winds can cause a storm
Each one sure it is the norm

For life is played upon a stage
Different dialogue on each page
All within a time to be
Set upon a stormy sea

And how we fare is in the care
Perhaps within the realm of share

Sharing our hopes and dreams, feelings and fears....that's the way we keep time to the beat of the marriage dance....right Seymour?
Excellent poem. hugs, Chris

Sometimes marriage can be a waltz in the moonlight,
other times a cha cha in the vent of emotions.
The trick is to keep dancing together.
Loved this one sy!
Have a great day, Nancy.

In the midst of winter,
I found there lives within me..
An invincible summer.

Fantastic lines!

We may fall out of rhythm sometimes, but still we dance!

Great truth here from your beautiful wise pen, dear Seymour.

Love and hugs.
