when they are calm
waiting for storms

I wait at the junk yard
where the sea of ships
nudge their bows
pretending to be pretty people

abusing their splinters
and you in your nurse suit
and sails without wind
I love how they fit you

when the damp makes them skin
and you tell me of ache
in the hold of you
and yes I do in my mind

when my arms are your harbor
