The little girl
gave me bells for my ankles today
they tinkle when I walk
she smiled
showing tiny white milk teeth
and with her hand pushed her hair back
come play with me she said
I know she can clearly see
I am much older then she
and any game we begin today
I will not live long enough to finish

Lady? You must have
a terrific smile...

and the youngster...
is very smart.

Lady,

Welcome to Piptalk.  I really enjoyed your first post.  These lines sent me reeling into thought:

"I am much older then she
and any game we begin today
I will not live long enough to finish"

Can there ever be enough time to spend with loved ones?

A pleasure to read.

I loved this - my granddaughter puts the strangest things in my hair, and on my wrists and ankels and I don't hesitate to go out that way, wearing a tiara as well.  Enjoy it all while you can, for if not for those young folks we could not feel that joy again.

Welcome to Passions by the way, you will love this place.

This is a beautifully sweet entrance.  I love bells on my ankles.  Cat-like.  Attention-getting.  Happy-sounding.

Some games are not meant to finish only to enjoy.

Lady...Enjoyed very much this first post from you. I will be waiting to read many more in the future.

This reminded me of the time my grandson tied me up with rope that he called his spider web, he was dressed like spiderman.

This has to be one of your grandchildren, Kate!  Another lovely portrait-poem as only you can paint them!  I love bells on the ankles.  I bet George and Winnie - well, Winnie, anyway - would love them too!
