It continues, today, and days after:
An Insurrection, by soldiers-
Dressed in light, increasing in numbers;

By faith and hope that army rises...
The battle is long, the battle is silent.

No spoken prayers are needed
To petition, laying them to waste-
I leave to nature, mystical entreats,
That I, a human, am unable to repeat-

To bring the dark-knights reign to folded knees.

And so I hum along, and mutter dirges
Singing out in praise
With words that seem like nonsense;

But in them hear old promises
That*Ra-in Nut will rise again
Closer-shining brighter -longer
Up to time, that winter-waxes,

Knowing soldiers, dressed in light
Will wane the dark dictator,

Swinging swords of incremental gain.

Reminds me of something heard on the radio show called Defenders of the sword and crown. How goes the day?
Great poem.

May the winds sweep through the moonless sky....

It is always feathers
and turning shadows
into something about light.
I see it moving like the Morning Glory
from the far side of destiny,
tendrils of gold
falling from an oval sky.

Don't worry Ford....the light will return to the sky.  You know I love your poetry, this one too!!     and Merry Christmas to you and all you love!!

Thank you
Manofwolves and Martie..

MY MY, Martie what a beautiful addition to my poem...
"tendrils of gold
falling from an oval sky." indeed they do....

This poem is about the Solstice that just past, and how the light makes incremental-minute gains each day that passes..

The soldiers of light is the light itself, that increases daily...overcoming the dark lord of night..gaining,gaining until the spring equinox when it surpasses.

The rebirth of the sun
The birth of the Son!

The days are now beginning to grow longer and the soldiers of light will have less darkness to fight.

In your numerology, I believe that you must have a 7 or two! You are such a spiritually deep and philosophical thinker!

I always enjoy your thoughts put to poetry!

Love & Light!
