This was a year of tempest as Mother Nature made a path directing our attention to a worldwide destructive wrath The pain of loss, where is the ease? How much more sorrow can we bear where is the end, God’s surcease, How long do we bend in prayer? We saw the worst of humanity but we also saw the best the heroes and the villains all that life possessed It would be easy to wallow in self pity and defeat seeing only the dark side being mired in retreat But it is this exact hour we find that which we desire An answer to life’s questions from a power much higher The gift of a child born giving hope to humanity A small flicker of innocence to calm the winds of insanity |

We saw the worst of humanity but we also saw the best the heroes and the villains all that life possessed Now isn't that the truth? A very Merry Christmas to you too and to your entire family Sharon. Sending a healing hug down to you all with this Christmas wish. |

"The gift of a child born giving hope to humanity" Oh, absolutely! Through all the trials and tribulations the birth of a child is the hope of humanity. Thank you for this lovely poem! May you and yours have a good festive season. Helen |
