There - I saw a bear - I swear-- in a puddle by the curb kicked or someone simply missed the box of broken ornaments next to the pile of usedta be water dribbled down the glass I saw the future in the past as my tears made silent plea protest and someone agreed for when we circled back we found no teddy bear upon the ground and neither of us spoke as we drove away with blinders on... |

Karen....gosh! This hurt to see with you, then have it be gone. I'd be keeping watch for it's return. Hugging you! |

Susan? *laughing here love* (watch as I ruin my own thread) y'see, I almost came back to edit a typo, trying to eliminate a stray quotation mark, and then I looked again, and wince, I licked my finger and cleaned the spot off of the glass! Blinders? Egads! |

Oh man, this is heart breaker! Especially that part about seeing the future in the past! There is much just below the surface of this poem. Corinne |

Don't say you are sorry...this poem is a gem from a heart that never has blinders on even when there are no more tears to weep....**big hugs** |

This would have brought tears to my eyes even if I didn't feel your environment at present. I'm glad someone agreed, too. I adore your work, yano, and your prayers!! ....jo |

You know now you got me thinking about all those kids down there, and that is very troubling, yes very troubling to a person who really wants to come back in my next life as Mrs. Santa Claus I can't even imagine the losses that children had down there, and how long it will be to even come close to getting their "stash" back. Poor little tykes (and grown-ups too who lost their bears as well.) I would be absolutely devastated if I lost my collection, here is a bit of a bear-hug for ya anyway from my hallway. One pillow says, "If I knew Grandchildren were so much fun, I would have had them first!" |

I read and think and maybe sometimes blinders are a good thing for a short time. M'Lady. |

(big angel hugs) Oh Karen, this made me cry as I have always believed in the proverb with all my heart, "A baby is God's proof that life must goes on.", and yet there are children that continue to be abandoned and left alone, and the frequent sights of beach balls resting in quiet sandboxes and children sleeping under newspapers as blankets on the corner of 2nd and Burnside downtown in my city always breaks my heart! (wipes tears) I can acknowledge some form of poverty will always exist in one form or another in that some are more fortunate than others, but I hope that the future doesn't reflect the past and the children can finally be treated as the first priority again, and that's exactly the spirit that motivates me to promote alternative gift-giving each holiday season; so children in the most troubling corners of the world can have a reason to smile and believe! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, your golden, compassionate heart inspires us all, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" |

and Noah? Thank you for your reply in blue...smile..the pink really does hurt my eyes. And I should explain. Nearby, a local apartment complex is clearing the leftover contents of their previous tenants so that they can repair the hurricane damage. As I told a friend earlier--it's not so much that I wanted that teddy bear--I just didn't want another kid to see it, lying there discarded. Finding it gone, gratified my heart--as someone else, I hope, felt the same. and Shar? If I knew where all the children were, I'd give you the information as to where to send donations. Just find the kids in need, anywhere around the world, and I promise you, the reward will be tenfold. One of the eeriest parts of this entire mess is the lack of children here. Those that are here, are kept closer to home. We miss the laughter and the bouncing balls. eerie...the silence is eerie. I apologize too, for writing such gloom. It was haunting me tho. So thank you all, for understanding. |
