There are notes of lightning above your eyes
galleries of sound
that I have walked around
with aching feet
and heavy burdens
of books to study you
for cures

and cues

Counting
with taps on new wood
as I wait on a bench
placed in memory
of someone dead

Your soul I mourn

and wait
for the return
of your features

When in thunder you sing
flesh unravels
you don’t look so much like you
anymore

when you sing

you're a storm
on the ledge
of my window closed.

So I watch
catching my death
with matted hair
and bedclothes

damp feet
from where I marched outside
shoeless
to rain.

I read you with such envy these days...

sighing here

blown away might seem like a bad pun here, but that's exactly how I feel.

I have no idea why but I saw you watching a thunderstorm and someone you love being up there ---> the heavens, nature, the sky or quite possibly yourself or one you loved, something you had lost along the way and it seems to me that when it rains, you feel them.

you do tend to collapse me with your writes yanno?  Truly wonderful gift you have and share.
And yes, I agree with Littlewing, that's what I envisioned as I was reading this.
Nice, the new pic also.

I know I already replied, but I wanted to add that this:

"when you sing

you're a storm
on the ledge
of my window closed."

Pretty much describes how I felt reading this.

This is just too good to let slip from this page. I love it gemjop. I was enchanted by your narration. Bravo.
