Coming Of The Dawn By Paul Wilson Awake long before rooster crows beginning another day of care She starts her ritual again releasing aroma’s into cool air The smell of fresh coffee brewing works it’s magic on her man He begins to stir from slumber ready to face the task at hand Together they sit and talk while sharing a cup or two Sharing precious moments of which there are too few Eggs and sausage are cooking biscuits are starting to rise Another cup with breakfast and they say their goodbye’s He kisses her on the cheek and says…my how time flies I’ll see you tonight my love please dry your eyes She thinks about her man all day… hoping he’s okay She wonders to herself does he think about me that way The front door swings open and she rushes to his side They embrace tenderly her love she can’t hide A Winter storm brings a chill into each others arms they are drawn Lovers sharing special times embrace Coming Of The Dawn ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ Paul [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (12-04-2005 06:48 PM).] |
