Tongues To Rain

Something new beats beneath my blouse
And I fear it, as insatiable as thirst in draught
A bareback pulsing drive that rises up without permission
Drawing me out to the edge of vast water, purposely clear
This bubble and churn of delightful and foreboding
Over time, I have grown accustomed to your mind’s stew
Expressions so uniquely you, indelible upon my ear
I wait, anticipating sound as water

That as far from me as you have seemed
Here with me you remain, and I have not expression left to say
A fierce desire might conspire fusion of the blood
But unlike lust, it is a beating soul that speaks the stroke of moonlight
My eyes taste upon the vibrant lines that softly sculpt you
Though as we touch upon it, is it not the boundary that controls us?
To know the silent ache of months without rain, keeps still my tears
Is it the power to drown that you intend?

And if I share this secret, related from my heart to yours
Will you brave the seas of me, and lift me from the waves?
I hear your footsteps, pausing just ahead, capturing my light
Redressing fragile wings, blown south and away just slightly
There is more to this than simple obsession, an interplay of minds
As I follow you, my eyes caress the motion that you make
And I would raise a sword to any threat, redeem lost wishes, and foil the sun
A loyalty unlike any other soaks the mouthing of passion’s play

That which you have kept at bay, shall be respected ‘til my dying day
But oh, you do pervade a kiss left gleaming in it’s deepest need of all

"A loyalty unlike any other soaks the mouthing of passion’s play"

~ and may such loyalty and empassioned words, be duly rewarded.
