It was a long slow freeze which had taken what seemed like an eternity to arrive. The temperatures fluctuated never holding steady enough for the proper conditions needed to sustain life in bloom.
It was then during the turning of the seasons that the cold had finally settled in finding permanent refuge there, where the light could no longer try to shine its warmth.
Time passed as layers thickened, steadily forming until at times it would be too hard to walk upon the surfaces that allowed thought to s l i p away.
Even the mirror could tell how time had taken its toll. The colors had become so very faded, so very lifeless.
Crystallized images captured in a reflection no longer recognizable as the picture of what once was, but instead were of
what had become.
The spring had found its own reason to delay, the coming season; but as all things must come to pass,
so must then also, come the thaw.
It was a long, slow thaw. It had taken what seemed like an eternity…to arrive.

whew, I've known this and so stagnated myself in this abysis, not realizing then, that when one cannot find joy in even the cold weather, or the long nights, we then stagnate ourselves.
Donna, this was a magnificant write, thank goodness for that thaw, huh? hugs to you

(angel thawing hugs) Awwwwwwww, all you need is an angel hot chocolate hug, dearest friend, yay! (gives hot chocolate hug) You may think I'm crazy admitting this, but most days during the winter I walk all over town with my sandals on, yay! (giggles) It's actually when I'm at home that I could use a friends hug or a visit from my dream girl in my daydreams to warm me up! God Bless You, sweet friend, keep warm, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
