What Did Become Of You

Have I really known you
What parts did I see
Were those words spoken
Your fantasy or reality

Which was the real you
Shed me some light
I remember the caring one
That often would write

Had this been really you
That called me friend
Could it be your other side
That played at pretend

What did become of you
It became hard to find
Whoever I thought I knew
Is forever on my mind

Its funny Hope, how sometimes even when we truly thought we knew someone we find that we didnt really know them at all.

I find myself at times thinking about my first marriage...I was married for 9 years. And you know what, whenever, I think of it I ask myself the kinds of questions you are asking here. Nine years, and I still didn't really know him. Baffling, isn't it.
