Further down this distant trail not marked, nor mapped, I travel Whispers from forgotten past siren's lure and time unravel Unseen, but all familiar these footprints in the sand Record the journey's lonely pace I stop to turn around No veering to the left side! "The folly of the fool" No turning to the level right! "King Logic is the rule" No laying down to rest now! "Labor for the feast" No straying from lesser path! "The first shall be the least" Quiet fell the inner voice still echoes in my head I turn to face the truer course the message ever led And as I travel further a lyric in steps abound "A journey's not a journey, son if you dare to turn around." |

Robert I admire this poem and the advice within it, for it applies to me I think, as well as you. Well done and thoughtful! Thank you! |

Marge, Chris and Martie, Thanks for the kind words. I should have added an "ode to my Dad" on this one. It's his voice, afterall. Hugs All, Robert |

"A journey's not a journey, son if you dare to turn around." I am going to take thes words with me today....I needed them badly yesterday, and I have a feeling that this is a day when I'll need them even more. Yes.....this is going to be my new desk poem. One at a time, I put poems on my office desk, right in front of my computer monitor where I'll see them every single time I sit down. I leave whatever poem is there, until I see a new one that particularly moves me....time for me to take a walk down The Lesser Path. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
