I feel this pain deep down inside, Yet, lately it's been so easy to hide. Taken so long to finally feel, All these things that I know are real. A chilling thought that they may come stumbling out, Seems so easy to forget since I've tried so hard not to remember. And it's hard, I want to let it out. The only truth on the outside, are the tears I seldom ely set free. The inside, I've kept shielded, it's but a memory, a dream. The numbness has taken over, Enveloped in the eery cold. As my eyes shut each night, I don't even think. Wish I could heal all these invisible wounds, but they are only scars, hidden by bright smiles and cheery words. |

SarBear Many of us have scars, in fact, most of us have scars...I sure do. Poetry has helped me to express the feelings or events that caused them, and therefore to heal the hurt. Keep writing...it really is good for you. Wishing you the best. |

Tears make a poor wine....the longer you hold them, the more they turn to vinegar. I'm glad I stumbled upon this little beauty! ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
