How beautiful love is...
this crystal vase containing the heart;
brilliant and pure, hues of rainbow under light...

but, oh Lord, when dissonance strikes!
it shatters into thousand shards...
some blunt, some  incisive
as a gleaming scalpel’s edge
no anaesthetic can temper the pain
but time...

even when
the last shard
has dissolved
the scars
will remain
forever.

Who would think there is beauty in pain,
but you find words that make everything,
beautiful!

Memory Of Love—
Terms and Conditions

We were like children who didn’t want to
Come out of the sea.  And the blue night came
And then the black night.

What did we bring back for the rest of our lives,
A flaming face, like the burning bush
That won’t consume itself till the end of our lives.

We made a strange arrangement between us:
If you come to me, I’ll come to you,
Strange terms and conditions: If you forget me.
I’ll forget you.
Strange terms and lovely things.

The ugly things we had to do
For the rest of our lives.

Dissonance, or a perfect note, so clear the glass cannot resist.....it dies singing, but the result is the same.

Much to think about in this little poem.
