Nights darkness grows, be still my heart, colder, a wind blows, freezing every part, Feeling goes numb, no longer exsisting, eyes are dark plumb, memory keeps insisting, Nothing have I become, tomorrow I resist, my heart is undone, no pulse at the wrist, Loves grave, open wide, bury deep, memorys token, where I go to hide, a heart dies, broken, Pieces lay smashed, all torn and shattered, dreams died, crashed, none of it really mattered, Memorys ghost will appear, playing tricks on the mind, A true love sincere, all that is left behind. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take - but by the moments that take our breath away." |

when your memory ghost appears again, Take a deep breath and know only strength and good, today will bring. |

I class these two stanzas as a poem by themselves, they could easily stand alone- My favorites of the piece, although the rest is very well done. The poem fits your username very well..You can tell it comes straight from "A Romantic Heart"... Enjoyed ----------ice ><> [This message has been edited by ice (11-18-2005 06:47 AM).] |

the depth of this is extremely profound and I love the way you've taken truth and allowed your voice be heard beautifully written and expressed |

Dear Lady ARH, I felt a great sadness, reading this poem; a feeling of hopelessness, reaching out from the deepest abyss of an aching human heart. I would venture to say that we have all felt like that at some point in our lives, though many of us would have kept those feelings suppressed. But I feel human hearts have a great capacity to heal, to be reborn - if we only let them. There is a Light leading us out of the darkness...just look to the stars...and it will show us the way... A beautiful, heart wrenching write. CG |
