Morning Light

Across the face of earth,
a new light is soon to shine,
throughout each nation
recognized only by time...

Rapture:
the heart of the elect will chime.
And the watcher at the wall
will proclaim:
“It is He, the one they call Jesus,
in the clouds
to collect his own…”

Pride:
will become each nation’s gold
and fools-gold for the old
The nation’s silver
will rot in the streets
with mold
replete…

Weeping:
will be heard throughout the lands
all looking to the Profits
awaiting their plan.
But their words will be stinging
and the listener’s ears will burn,
imploring their new gods
to capture their concern…

Peace:
that day, will be proclaimed.
But sudden destruction
will now occupy its new name:

Evil:
desolation, disease, illness, and death.
Seven years will be marked to fulfill this.
And the nation of Israel again will rise;
a new joy will be seen in their eyes…

God’s Priest:
144 thousand men
of the ancient tribes
will preach His way
and teach His word.
New to the Hebrew,
but well understood.
A plan set in heaven
for all mankind’s good
from the very beginning
of time
for your profit
and mine…

JL, there is an art to structuring one's poem
to paint a picture...

and you did just this...

and at the very last stanza?

You literally
rang the bell.
