First Apprehensive Breath

Entering is a fearless thrust of pure intuition
When the heart grows faint in its maniacal drum
Swallowing the dunes is by far less difficult than speech
Although, the senses sharpen in their own telling of truth

It is you that brings the sea rise up inside of me
Echoed in its quiet, immeasurable and everlasting
Though I have grieved my own wondrous fear
Causing me to step around the fullness of my desire

Just a front of cool breeze masks the course of fire
It is you that moves the wake of my soul
The song that sings within my body, within my mind
As I gasp away the vulnerable beads that sheen my skin

Oh, but the dreams that you bestow have haunted me
Leaving nude a picture in perception only I caress
Drawn deep into my lungs, hope and ache made perfect
Mixing bubbling sea and liquid fire, blood flow these depths

For I see more in the passion of half lit eyes
Clarity is tangible when I enter your wild rooms
The smell of your neck calls my mind to disrobe
To hold within itself this passions pound in waves

While every season brings to bloom another morn
Another starlit charm rapt in black velvet midnight
The terror coming in repeals and swells in Braille
And my response is unrehearsed each time

ThisDiamond,

This poem is breathtaking and enchanting, a lovely penning and very sentimental. I enjoyed reading it and parts of it touched me harder than others and some of the words sparked gentle memories. Thank You for sharing this piece.

Kathy,  passion and so much more flows
heartily within this piece...Each swell
brings to mind a crest that can only be
sensed so easily by yourself.   Very
nicely done,  yes....yes it is!
