Oh I’ve been
To that hill—
However happily
Only as a visitor

All I can say
Is from what I could see
For a man like me
It looked bloody
Damned well uncomfortable

To hang in pain
For the sins of other men
Praying to a god it soon will end
Seems a fate for fools
And somewhat criminal

Of anyone who would think it right
To take a life and make it worst
As if one wrong deserved another

Here light the lamp
And pass the wine
It will be soon enough for us to die
Without the help of others

He overcame the cross and He lives.
And LOVE is the lesson.
