The Two-Piece The boy's friend softened the dock's appearance. Perhaps it was contrasting looks that made me notice, the student, knees pulled tight against his chest, ankles clutched, the friend, a pair of legs stretched out amidst an assortment of shapes, some, like lines haphazardly coiled, others, taut, like the belly of a sail on a reach, disciplined. They both stood up as I approached, the one, nervous, the other, from jeans stepped out and removing a sweatshirt. RMW |
