Prognostikon: Skill or Curse In this hidden love, which words must I labor through to surrender my heart to you? Which path to covet over, sand dunes and sea, or the white cliffs of Dover? Words to invert, or words giving rise to song and verse? A melody of weeping strings and voice, or an opus of woodwinds and flute, allegro and terse? This fearful love hidden in my heart, confined and pacing, and stalking for freedom… If it be released, devoid of youth and fervor, a dire realization; a fact, my thoughts at times seem ignore, will it find reflective enduring, understanding? A replica in kind? Or would reality be crude and cruel, and faithful only to the amusement of time? Can we truly be as such? Such a finely tuned concerto? Bending a melody to be played between traditional major and minor keys? What candle opera illuminates my dreams, seemingly foolish dreams, for a new tomorrow? Fantasy accepted out of living and scheming, skill or curse? Or foolishness, borne from yesterday’s daydreaming… [This message has been edited by JL (11-08-2005 11:04 AM).] |

JL "What candle opera illuminates my dreams, seemingly foolish dreams, for a new tomorrow? Daydreams born out of living? Skill or Curse? Or: Foolishness borne from yesterday’s daydreaming…" I love the thought of a "candle opera". I enjoy the deep searching questions you ask with such beautiful poetry. ![]() |

A fact, my thoughts at times seem ignore, would it find reflective patients, understanding, a replica in kind? Or would reality be crude and cruel, and faithful only to the amusement of time?" That is some very beautiful, deep writing, JL. ![]() |

well, well, well, it's soooooooo good to see you in here again...and writing with such conviction, such profound realization...but then, you are wise, even in your most humble way....beautifully written and expressed my friend, wishing you a greatness in the value of your place...always.... ![]() |

JL, your nimble fingers danced lightly upon the keys. The pianissimo of this fine piece of poetry spoke softly but with great import. Bravo, Virtuoso! ![]() ![]() EA |
