The sun hangs low on horizons of gold like a pendant on skin once fair to behold and the air is still with no breeze of belief to disturb the thump of a listless heartbeat. The trees in a panic search every leaf; where, oh, where is eternal peace once ringed and safe in the middle of life far from the fields of turmoil and strife? High roads and low roads, happiness, grief, and, lo, a beggar man, soldier, and thief under the spotlight of man-made politics once unknown in destiny’s mix. Down, down, down, the years count down here on this now fateful ground where pebbles and stones line every path on the mysterious journey of heart. Sensitive life in the balance hangs limp and love retreats like a feeble wimp in the absence of blueprints and goals to reach those horizons of gold. Low the sun now in tentative hang; one day it will simply go … “bang”! Helen / 2 November 2005 |

"Sensitive life in the balance hangs limp and love retreats like a feeble wimp in the absence of blueprints and goals to reach those horizons of gold." You surely capture our frailty here, Helen....so often this is just the way it is.....fear cripples the mind and then we get imprisoned within our own hearts. It takes a brave heart to overcome the mind....actaully, it takes two brave hearts! If my comment doesn't make sense, please blame it on two sleepless nights...lol. ......jo |

Thanks for the read, jo, and your comment makes total sense to me. Sleeplessness is merely the countdown to change ... |
