Ah even now Everyday Is Halloween for some Dressed In noble masks and long white gowns That would never fit who they really are Off they dance their little tunes Made of silks from others’ times With pretty rhymes for their petty whims While men and women starve And all these mirrors upon the walls There to serve the delusional Glitter with their jewels . . . From tongues that never tasted bread Not buttered gold with platitudes Beneath a heap of sugared cream So find your part and join the play Affect a pose and oh by the way Please task the butler for another bottle Of cheap champagne |

LOL, love the bite of this write. "let'em eat cake" but of course we all know there is no such thing as a cakewalk for those left to stand out in a chilling rain and yes, some days there are heaps of frosting and sprinklings of sweet nothings, and my taste buds go wanting |

K, Blame Maynard Solomon in his biography “Beethovan” for the character’ attitude speaking in this, “Immortal Beloved” and “Country Fair”. Pappy Boyington, a World War II Marine fighter ace, once said: “Show me a hero and I’ll show you a bum.” Solomon pretty much does as much with Ludwig, (as well as most of the latter 18th and early 19th century). For that reason alone, which is enough, I can’t wait to finish the book. Thanks for reading. John |
