fall upon your sword here in this moment accept the leaves’ offer to hide it all under their welcoming shroud do not give the honor of an angry cast aside release let it tumble from your hand like a stick where no fire is needed time and the truce of soil will make it whole again of the world again give it peace again turn let these autumn leaves fall upon your sword and walk away For those -- here, I mean, at PiP -- with whom the differences have come to outweigh the friendship that could still be if we were to put the swords away. May it come to pass. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Ed, dear friend What a wonderful thought, not just here at Pip, but the world. I wish it could be so easy, peace. Thank you for writing this with your heart. |

but some wounds add to the crimson hues of fallen leaves wounds that still drip from the sharp blade of a trust betrayed time heals I've told but I still hear leaves rustling at my feet and my soul is stained glider |

John .... I like that poem -- I'm gonna look her up.... ...and the battlefield? We're standing on it, alas! That's blue blood, we poets being oh so cultured...and it's not from our noses, which of course we hold too high for them ever to leak..... ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Hey Ed, catch this hug and kiss! LOL. I agree, it's past time for swords to be set aside...else how dare we ask the next generation to do it? |
