Sweet 16 (for the ones that are turning)

Sweet 16 and never been kissed
That is what all mothers wish

On my 16th birthday
I went to redlobster
I had a meal
it was so good
that I understood

I was surprised by a cake
I was sung "happy birthday"
by the redlobster crew
I just started laughing
I had to refrain
from say shew "go away"

My mom just laughed
I had these tears in my eyes
like I have never been happier
in my whole entire life

I knew things were about to happen
when I turned this age
I was right
It was different
things changed

I began the choir at my church
I got taught so much
that I have never of known before
thats forsure

Two months later
is when I got myself a boyfriend
so sweet
made me laugh
he was the first guy
I was attached to

This sweet 16th year
was my special and favorite year
I hope it is this good to you
as much as it was going for me

Theres is nothing to be affraid of
so dont be scared
its just the beginning
to just starting thinking
of what you want to do in the future

Poetry can get you very far
