To Those in the Path of a Storm |

I worry for friends in the path of the wind Who look through a window to tempests within Who measure the day by the speed of a squall And sleep with an ear to the roar of it all I worry for those on the fringe of a storm Whose destiny no one can truly forewarn If God were to grant me the thoughts in my head I’d trade this warm quilt for another man’s bed Sometimes it is better to suffer yourself Than to think of the trials of somebody else I’ve more reason to worry for someone I love Than if I were to weather the hail from above Just as hurricanes start from a tropical breeze So does fretfulness spawn from a soul ill at ease To those in the path of a hurricane’s eye I pray that your heart is more tranquil than I May God keep you safe Liz |

what a beautiful write! and as many of us sit holding our breath, we can't help but wonder what if...it were me in the pathway...would it be better to be there and KNOW what's happening than sit here not knowing? |

Sweet lady, you worded so beautifully what we all are wishing, that all will be safe and sound when Wilma leaves Florida. Hugs and knuffels, Titia Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

Hi Liz, I went looking for your poetry, and as I knew in my heart you would have words of such love and beauty and giving of your heart, thank you. Love Cerenity |

I too will join you in that concern and worry for friends down there. This has been an absolutely unreal season for them this year. Something tells me we are getting a severe wake-up call from Mother Nature that we should heed. |

I worry for those on the fringe of a storm Whose destiny no one can truly forewarn If God were to grant me the thoughts in my head I’d trade this warm quilt for another man’s bed *********************** Awesome, and, I'll bet these prayers of yours go out as giant tenicles of prayers, protecting each one of them. This was beautiful |
