Heading to China

The days drip by
Staining our faces with wrinkles
The candle is burning at both ends
The wax begins to cover our eyes
We wish to step to the plate
To do the right thing
Wanting things to change
Though we are terrified of the results
Living in a world that is cursed
A double edged sword of choice
We wish to handle it with out gaining a scar
Though this is something that can not be done
The logical has become illogical
We find the fiends in business suits
The helping hands seem to have grown claws
Is it all worth the strife?
Should we just stay in our glass bowls?
Can we all get along?
Has it gone completely out of control?
We stress about nothing
Coping with the underlining lies
False prophets line the streets
Their rhetoric baptizing the innocent
Only with their ideas and not the truth
Watching as we fight over the simplest of ideas
We fight over monkey or man
Yet in the end we are still alive
Is death truly the only answer in this debate?
Do we all become lost souls?
Breaking down on the sidewalk
Our tears falling between the cracks
Wishing to be enlightened
Though are minds do not seem to evolve
We all seem to be hell bound
Our virtues have been stripped
And our wings have ceased to exist
In these darkening days does love no longer count
Or is it a far greater victory to be right
Then to live in peace

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.

Our tears falling between the cracks''''

hits close to the heart....nice writing of emotion...

There are moments when speech
is but a mouth pressed lightly and
humbly against the angel's hands
