Her heart was not bound |

Trudging through the soft but cold snowfall she carried her small bundles homeward. Long hours she spent cleaning someone else’s home so she may have food for her own. But she never complained above a whisper, never cried the night away in self-pity. But my heart knows she was lonely, feels she must have had unfulfilled dreams. For I see it in eyes that cannot disguise the colors of sadness and weariness, though time etched itself gracefully upon her delicate brow. And now, I understand full well the Hell she fought against, the rivers of hate heaped upon her plate day-after-day for the slant of her eyes that would not give in to resentment, not succumb to the wasteland of revenge. In her final hours, her gentle spirit did prevail. Her heart was not bound by this earthly jail. |

strongly believe these souls are truly truly tools of Gods, to live their lives by example, brave, accepting and yet most generous people....who collect love blossoms like some people collect and hord money....they are enriched and enriching... what a lovely tribute, and a lovely heart you have. |

Astounding depiction. I understood and felt someone else's pain, and finally, their joyful release. Wonderful writing. |
