As Thoughts Continually Echo

If only I could stop repeating
Since all had been said before
Yet every time I began to write
The same feelings start to pour

My exact thoughts continued
With much the same repetition
Forgetting shall not come easy
I had yet to make the transition

Still with too many reminders
The thoughts continually echo
I have to stop thinking this way
Before I can ever start letting go

I found myself here once again
As my pen is there while I think
I reiterated thoughts some more
Emotionally outpouring in the ink

I cannot be that kind of person
That would ever close the heart
So thoughts to my pen still flow
Its just me, not some work of art

Ah but that's where you'd be wrong. It is art. And so well done too. Excellent write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
