So the end comes swiftly and decisively Before a wail or howl screeches upon Sensitive ears I cannot hear the sweet for the bitter Has tainted my tongue with forgetfulness And my eyes are scaled so as not to see Anymore the ravisher Love has become a meaningless thing In between, A drape to hold off ugly truths and disgust over past mistakes Oh, the taste of defeat heralds the Awakening of new beginnings And a closing, finally, of pain Of years The mourning will dawn but not For you In mirror of eyes, I shall reflect Upon sadness Yes, hold in arms tender the one Lost… ~tier 10/05 |

"I cannot hear the sweet for the bitter Has tainted my tongue with forgetfulness" Nice imagery. Tasting tart lemons in this. |

"I cannot hear the sweet for the bitter Has tainted my tongue with forgetfulness" Yep...I know this most recently I'm afraid. Enjoyed! "I want to heal, I want to feel, like I'm close to something real" |
