Crazy, Fun 3rd Period

Today was a rear day
In 3rd period class
After final exam interviews
The fun began

We had nothing else assigned
But the final exams
So I let the kids
Turn on their music and jam

Only time I got on to them
Was when the music was so loud
That it sounded like we
Were having a party

Some of the kids were online
Some were in little groups
Talking as the music played
Same even played hackisack

After all it was Friday
And the teacher was out sick
And we had a substitute
And no other work to do

What were we supposed to do
Make the kids sit
And do nothing
For the next 30 minutes or so

So today was a crazy, fun 3rd period
But on Monday next week
We will be back to work
Doing the same old, same old
