The Caution of You

There in the background of my mind
the caution of You,
wishing I could share,
waiting for your awakening.

Autumn curves around me,
a slow start to recovery,
yet the falling of yesterday
a foundation for my tomorrows.

I echo life and want to be
this need so strong to share of me...

I challenge each and every day
sometimes losing
but always coming away a winner
because I am here...still.

As day turns into night,
I swallow my fears
and wait for that voice
to brush my heart with warmth
until lingering into dreams.

There in the background of my mind...
Always.

A lot of really good stuff in here but this line really grabbed me:

"waiting for your awakening"

Sometimes it is such a long wait. Somtimes worth every minute.
