Of Once Could Be I am the thoughts of once could be It says so my directory Here in the back it says small print On this day you struck this flint A spark that lasted just so long Rather bright and rather strong It lit a world within a day A world you chose but not to stay Now it is an arrow head Sticking out a thing that’s dead And no amount of would you more Can bring you back this dusty door How often do we pine and flail These sip of wine to sooth our bale But gone is gone this field of range And time is time and change is change But old is old and cold is cold And panning past will not pan gold |

Very poignant, Seymour, but respectfully, I have to add that there may indeed be nuggets of gold in the shapes of memories and forms of lessons. Awesome write, my friend. A very happy and peaceful 4th to you and your love. -MVS You CAN make a difference, but first you should learn how: http://educate-yourself.org/intro.shtml |

Sound, and most sage words, dear Sy... 'tis why we forget the sad, forget the cries, and keep the gift of laughter, near, so we know we have nothing to fear... ~*~ |

Well here you are Sy! They changed the room number and I thought I had lost you. Wonderful write today.. I guess since it is afternoon if we lived in England I could invite you to 'high tea'? But, it is a holiday weekend.. perhaps something a little stronger? May you and yours have a wonderful and safe Fourth! ~Hugs & Smiles and Cold drinks, Nancy~ |

the old age of lessons learned sometimes causes lines in the heart that not even botox can fix? Hugs to you for such a poignant write |
