A phone rings
and words turned
over and over
in my head

a shot rings out
so loudly it's heard

my first thoughts
where, when and who?
Dear daughter of mine
whatever you do..

call, just call..

while I say a prayer
Lord keep this family and child
in your care....

(breaking news at my daughters school
and I await a call..)

live for today,
dream of the future,
and learn eternal truths from the past..

April checked in she is fine....

I will keep you updated as I find out more info.
I am so relieved that she called.. she doesnt know anything about it, and probably since this happened in the high school, they aren't releasing info yet as these kids are still minors and as not to upset the other students...

sigh....

As for the poem, it scared me! I understand how that feels, even though it hasn't happened to me...YET!
